“A Paradox of Faith: Give to Receive”
It is good for us to recognize the complexities of the natural world, our own limitation of language and understanding, especially as it relates to accepting a deeper truth beyond seeming paradoxes.
There are paradoxes in today’s readings. In the Gospel, Jesus tells his flock to “sell [their] possessions, and give alms.” [Luke 12:33] In this giving, a treasure in heaven is gained.

What we do now can store up treasures on earth, or treasures in heaven.
